HIFI brings stablecoin settlement to Flow

HIFI now supports the Flow blockchain. Developers building on Flow can use HIFI to onramp users into stablecoins, offramp to local bank accounts across US and international corridors, and settle stablecoin payments at scale.

As part of the launch, HIFI is migrating $40 million in stablecoins onto Flow EVM, settling in PYUSD0, the omnichain version of PayPal's dollar stablecoin, PYUSD.

Why Flow

Flow is the blockchain behind some of the largest consumer crypto applications, including Dapper Labs' NBA Top Shot and Disney Pinnacle. It has more than 40 million user accounts and has processed close to a billion transactions, with sub-cent fees and a user experience that never exposes the chain underneath.

That consumer base is now giving rise to a fast-growing onchain finance ecosystem on Flow: new exchanges, lending protocols, and consumer products like Peak Money, which pays yield on stablecoin deposits. These applications need money movement that works like the rest of their product. Fast, global, and invisible to the end user. That is the layer HIFI provides.

HIFI already powers money movement for leading applications on Flow, including Dapper Labs, processing over 100,000 transactions a day.

What developers get

HIFI is stablecoin payments infrastructure. Developers and platforms use its APIs to move money on stablecoin rails.

On Flow, builders can onramp users into stablecoins from fiat and offramp to local bank accounts across US and international corridors. They can settle payments that hold up under load, from the bursts a consumer marketplace generates during a drop to steady volume between them.

They can also move value across chains. HIFI builds crosschain bridging into the API, so a transfer routes automatically between an originating and destination chain, with 1:1 bridging and predictable settlement. Developers on Flow can pull liquidity from other networks without managing the crosschain infrastructure themselves.

What's next

As onchain finance on Flow grows, HIFI will support more of it: more stablecoins, more corridors, and more of the building blocks teams need to move money on the network.
